In the Job Market

Editor

When you read a book, a magazjne, or anything written, most of the time you don't realize that you're not only reading the words.
Editors work together with the authors of the text and take care of all the visual aspects - coloring, font, pictures, font size - you name it. And that's not all. These professionals are also charge of supervising the production process, as well as taking care of deadlines and budgets. They even get a say about the quality of the information that's being published.
If you come an editor, you may work with publishing houses, communication, publicity, and web-design companies, or with any institution where books, journals, magazines, textbooks, manuals, pamphlets, brochures, posters, and flyers are created. You may also work with image treatment.
In order to become an editor, a person has to take a four-year course. Eight semesters is definitely not much, if you consider the fact that the market is expanding and there are more opportunities for editors every day.
